Mrs. Guest is getting close to having her baby!
We had to say goodbye to Mrs. Guest today. Her doctor says it's almost time for the little one to arrive. She's been great in our classroom and we will miss her! We can't wait to meet our new "class pet". Haha.

Juicy Words
We are trying really hard to add juicy words to our writing. An important part of grade two writing is using descriptive vocabulary. First, I did some of my own writing. Then we read many of the Fancy Nancy books. We came up with our own list of fancy words to add to as we encounter them. We are all going to try to use them in our writing.

Our New Class Pet!
We now have a beta fish in our class thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Hawkins (otherwise known as Emma's parents). All of the students submitted their idea for names and Emma chose Angel. Emma did an excellent job explaining how to take care of her. We hope Angel has a good time in our classroom!
