Place Value

As part of the grade 2 math curriculum, we learn about place value using base ten blocks.  Even my grade ones are loving investigating the concept!  First we grouped items into groups of ten and found out how many were left over.  We then used base ten blocks to represent our items.  The final step was drawing the base ten blocks we used.
