Becoming Owl Families

While Mr. Dunnett and Mr. Steeves were here, we also learned how many factors can affect the life span of owls.  We became owl families and had to find food to feed them.  The further away the families were, the harder it was to find enough food.  We also found out that on some of the fields, the farmers had used pesticides on the plants which poisoned the animals the owls were eating.  Seeing these factors showed us that many owls do not survive for these reasons.
