Painted Paper Collages

For this art project, we had to first paint different colours on different pieces of paper. We then cut shapes out of the dried, painted paper and glued them onto another piece to make a lovely picture!  I think they look awesome!

Trip to the KV Public Library

We were fortunate enough to get to go visit the newly renovated and expanded KV Public Library.  Wow!  It was amazing!

Lucky Was Here.....

Oh that foolish leprechaun Lucky struck again!  What are we going to do with him?  He stole our shoes and made a mess everywhere!  The kids also noted that he can't even spell the word "was"!  On the upside, he did leave us gold, chocolate coins...

Harlem Globetrotters Visit

We were lucky enough to have one of the Globetrotters, Chris (Handles) Franklin, visit our school to talk about the ABCs of bullying prevention. 
A stands for action.  Take action and talk to a trusted adult.
B stands for bravery.  Stand up to people that bully and help those that are being bullied.
C stands for compassion.  Think about how students who are getting bullied feel and don't let it happen in front of you.

Writing

We are working really hard at using graphic organizers and putting our stories in order.  It has also been a challenge for us to find different ways to start our sentences.
